TED (Technology, Entertainment and Design) is a global set of conferences owned by the private non-profit Sapling Foundation, formed to disseminate "ideas worth spreading." It is known for it's talks on many scientific, cultural, and academic topics.
In March 2014, Brian Henson presented a "master class" on puppetry in the age of technology.
Henson demonstrated puppetry techniques with an armadillo puppet from Puppet Up!, revealing how the art form allows a puppeteer to speak and react in ways that makes a character feel real. Henson also talked about the expansion to animatronic "creatures" and digital "performance-controlled" characters.
